Happy Thanksgiving!

We hosted Thanksgiving this year. All the Sullivan's were so helpful, in fact, Trac and Andy made not one but 2 turkeys, Jodi, made Nana's famous cheese spread and Papa completed the meal with an amazing apple and homemade pumpkin pie....did you think I made anything at all...??? Well, I made the most fattening dishes on the table...corn and green bean casserole...we had a great meal and surprisingly it was still really hot...

We enjoyed our time together so much and created many new memories that we will have forever.  I think we all had tears in our eyes as we went around our circle saying what we were thankful for.....all the kids were so well spoken with, "I am thankful for my cousins and my mommy and daddy, "I am thankful for our house and my friends,"  All three, Maggie, Max and Quinton are just growing up so fast.  Sloan, our other little turkey enjoyed watching their every moment.

I cannot forget how thankful I am of Miss Trac for her amazing crafts!  Always coming up with something new to sew, paint, stamp or tie!  How about all the shirts?  Yes, her inspiration started with Sloan's onesie and then Maggie suggested they ALL have homemade shirts. Absolutely darling.....!  We are BLESSED!

Computer update

Well as you can see FINALLY we have a computer....not the same one, because it, along with our other computer basically crashed on the same day.  No data, no pics, nothing left......Aaron and I have been so sad.  First, because it took the software company 2 months to tell us this, and more importantly because we have lost pictures from over 10 years together.....SAD!!!!!!!! We learned our lesson.... BACK UP everything.  We do have some Shutterfly albums from Qman's birth and some trips, but not all.  It's so hard to replace pics, however I know we will still have the memories forever in our heart and head.

Notice I didn't get into the detail about the computer repair guys, back from my last post about month or so ago.  That's because it's too long to get into and I do not feel it's appropriate to be cursing every other word, so I will leave that for another time!  We were able to buy back all the electronic albums from Shutterfly so I thought I would compare month 1 of both Quinton and Sloan.  (I guess our kids like to have their months open; guess they'll be talkers, imagine that!)

Halloween

Can you guess what our family was for Halloween? Mickey and Minnie this year...! This was Qman's idea as he loves the Disney show, Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. His cousins were also Mickey and Minnie...it was GREAT!!!! It truly was the best, since Mags, Max and Quinton were really into Trick or Treating and Sloan was here with us as well. Our tradition is to go over to Morton, fill our bellies with chili, pumpkin bars and candy.....just a few pieces......yummy! Thanks Aunt Trac!

Qman got enough candy for a while as far as I am concerned, and his favorites are Tootsie Rolls and Dots which he only got a few so..... I guess the leftovers of the peanut M&M's, Snickers, Kit Kats and Butterfingers are for his Mama and Daddy, (we'll have no problem finishing those off).

I have already scheduled his first dentist appointment for the beginning of December, so I'll keep you posted as to what that brings..... I felt it was a little ironic that the receptionist described it as the Disney Dentist!!!

Carving of the Pumpkin

Quinton helped Daddy pull out all the guts, and boy did he love it! Sloan, on the other hand, just watched patiently, wondering what was going on? She too was was having fun, as she ate squash for the first time... we thought we would stick to the theme of pumpkin.

Fun times for the Sullivan's....we love the fall.....and cannot wait for Halloween.....either!!!!!!!!!!

Poor Quinton

I felt so bad last night.............. QMAN woke up at about 12:45 am "barking like a dog", as he would say! That darn croup again. He totally knows the routine since he has had it 4 times this year...He says, "Mom and dad you can come in the hot steam and have a party with me"...Wow.... this is not what I consider a party but.... ok! After about an hour of reading books, taking a actual bath and then deciding he needed to use his shaving cream and shave his face like dad, he finally fall asleep.

He was such an amazing sport with being so sick. I think Aaron and I were more worried than he was, of course.....it's just that horrible sound!!! The next morning we took him to the doc and he was able to get some medicine which already started to make him feel better. Quinton heard Dr Jacques reviewing all the details with me and then after we got home, and as serious as possible he says, "Mom, I need to drink a lot of liquids...in order to go visit CC and DD this weekend." I guess he does use his LISTENING EARS....when he wants too! Amazing!

Tanner's Ochard

It was a beautiful day this Saturday, so we decided to hit the Apple/Pumpkin Patch with everyone else in Central IL. We had a blast! It was so hot, we were all dressed for Fall, however we were wrong... after 80 degree weather we were sweating bullets.... I guess we will learn to layer next time.

Quinton had so much fun running through the corn maze, playing on the largest and coolest playground I have ever since and eating snow cones that he could add his own "12 flavors" -Tiger Blood was his favorite.

Sloan enjoyed her time as well. She sat grabbing her feet so quietly in her carrier, and giving smiles to anyone who peeked in. I think she is starting to get sick of all the bouquets I have been putting on her head, her daddy secretly told me. However, it's just so cute!

All in all it was a great day and a tradition that we will have forever as a family!
