Happy Belated Mother's Day!

The Final Project!

For all of the Mother's out there.... HAPPY Belated Mother's Day....(by almost a month!) Motherhood is the best gift in Life!

A book my mom had given me the Christmas Quinton was born had several quotes that brought tears to my eyes and I often read these regularly.  I feel the one below is the best and oh so true.

The kiddos, with Nicki's creative help and some surprise snapshots, worked really hard on a little project for Mother's Day. I had to post these pics because I just love them sooooooo much!  And as far as the project, it's darling! Qman said I should put my "jewels" in it and so I do!  I have it on my dresser and look at it every single day.  I don't really have any jewels, just some TJ Maxx $20 rings and earrings!  By that's ok, they are still fun!

Qman's activities

Qman's last day of school was last week. He has grown to love school so much and Aaron and I are so happy for him. It has been a great way for him to meet new friends, have some structure, learn basic principles as well as have disciple other than Mommy, Daddy and Nicki.   His teacher is so wonderful with Qman and she will be missed this summer, so we had to get a picture.

ided to beet out the songs like a little ham, as Sloan boogied to the bee.  (so I am told) Unfortunately, I wasn't able to be there as I was out of town in Dallas for work. I enjoy work so much, but when I miss something like this, it breaks my heart, so Aaron got it all on tape and that was great!  I cannot be sad anymore....!

He also completed his spring session of gymnastics and was so excited because he received a medal, just like mommy and daddy's when they ran the 1/2 marathon. He loves Ms. Angie so much, so we couldn't live without signing up for another session this summer.

Lastly, he did a cool Penny Experiment on a rainy day and I couldn't help but love this expression on his face!  I think it says it all!

Quinton you continue to grow up everyday....please please not too fast! Mom and Dad are so proud of you!  

A day at the Park.....

It was our FUN FAMILY Day at the Park!

Qman was on a tetter totter last night for the first time at the Vlach's Graduation Party and thought it was the coolest ever. Last week on a run, I had remembered I saw one, so we decided to take the family back to find it......and we did!  The only problem is that I realize we didn't get any pics of him on the tetter totter....I guess we'll have to go back.

Aaron and I celebrated our nine year wedding anniversary this past week, May 13th. We ( or I guess I should say I) decided we needed to celebrate by taking a little getaway to the sunny state of Florida, Sarasota Florida to be exact. Oh my goodness, so here is how the conversation went..."Hey babe, how about taking this direct flight from Peoria to Clearwater/St Pete, we could leave Peoria at 10 and be on the beach at 1, stay at the Ritz and have a few days of relaxation and good eats for our nine year"....Aaron says, "I would love to hang out with all blue hairs, go to dinner at 4 and be in bed at 7 for our wedding anniversary." Need less to say, it took some convincing....however, I won.....I know he was just giving me trouble, but boy did I prove him wrong once we got there.

It was fabulous! The hotel was awesome, the food (and shopping) were amazing, the service was even better and the company was the best!!!!! We had such a nice time just the two of us!!!  A big thanks to Papa, Nicki and Andi and Trac for looking after the kiddos, knowing that they were in great hands allowed us to enjoy ourselves, even more!

Nine years of wedded bliss..... Aaron you are an amazing man that I continue to love even more each day I am with you. Thanks for putting up with me and my craziness, I cannot imagine living without you! We are blessed with 2 healthy children that fill our lives with even more happiness each day! It has been a wonderful 9 years and I am looking forward to 91 more to follow. I love you honey!

Sloan's Birthday Party

It was a Polka Dot and Cupcake Theme!

The weather was beautiful and the company was even better. We enjoyed visiting with all our friends and family ( CC and DD came into town), eating some of Aaron's favorite food and watching Sloan dig into her minature size cupcake! We all gathered round her highchair and sang Aaron's tunes of the Happy Birthday banjo song as it filled the room, I think she became a little nervous, then the lip started to shiver and she began to cry.... I felt so bad! A little overwelming for a one year old, however she was over it fairly quickly and ready for more cake.

It was a great day! Sloan we love you so much and look forward to many many many more fun birthdays to come!

I cannot believe how "SO BIG" they both are!  Sloan has graduated to the big girl seat and Qman is excited for her.

A Barnyard Lunch....

Nicki, our amazing babysitter, decided it was time to mix up the lunch scene.  It was a rainy day last week and Qman's preschool was planning on going to the Farm so they decided to stick with the theme!  The grilled cheese was the barn, blue yogurt was the pond ( with duck sprinkles), there was a patch of strawberries, animal cookies were the animals and of course milk to drink!  Pretty cute.   Also, Qman has been cutting out his own foods and serving them for us to indulge. ( Nice waiter outfit huh?!)   Check out these pics.
