Q's Swimming Lessons

We tried a new place for Qman to swim this year and have been so thrilled. Q on the other hand wasn't too thrilled at first. After the first lesson he said "I'm not going back there they dunk me and I get water up my nose!" So, I think this became a hesitation. After 2 lessons he got the hang of it and started to love the teachers and showing off! He did awesome! Way to go Q! Sloan also enjoyed their beautiful yard and all it had to offer. Thanks Nicki for making the trip for the kids, I know it was more than a hike!

P90X

I am so proud of my hubby, when he puts his mind to something he does it.....this is his latest goal.

Can I say WOW!!! Check this out it's intense. I love it...the website is beach body.com and it basically, says, "Do you want to get ripped in 90 days? Well this one's for you!" It's hilarious. No with all seriousness, I think this is awesome! Aaron had done some research and felt this was the program for him. He enjoys working out at his own pace in his own house at his own time of the day and with his job lately that means at crazy times.....you nor I are up!

It's a 12 DVD series for an hour each focusing on all body parts. They ask you to take a before and after pic but of course, he knows me to well....that pic would be posted! Anyway, he is looking hot already and I must say I thought he was hot before he even started! Next time you see him, ask him about it...or you just might notice him coming.....he's gonna kill me!

Busy JULY!!!!

CC came to visit us after the forth of July and we had a great time. QMan and her are so silly together, and she couldn't believe Sloan's growth over the past month. Unforunately, Q was sick while she was here, so some of the fun things we had planned we couldn't do, however, we're saving them for next time she comes!!!! Then we decided to pack up the car and head to St Louis, it was nice to be able to visit with DD (Q is still talking about mini golf), my favorite cousins and Nana and Papa who are 82 and 83 years old. I love just being able to sit and chat with them, talk about old times as well as for them to see our entergetic kiddos run around. It's been wonderful to have great grandparents still alive and for Quinton and Sloan to have met all the generations! This makes me want more and more pictures of them with our kids. As I was blogging I was also trying to find some and I do not really have any.....I will keep looking!

Later in July, Aaron was able to step away from work for a week. I don't know if he would say it was that greatest week, as I had several long Honey Do Lists, including a garage sale. Side Note: NEVER again!!!! Too many late nights, sorting, pricing, fixing, drinking, etc.!!!

Anyway, the kids loved having him around during the day and I know he enjoyed the ability to go for donuts, donuts and more donuts in the morning, play (golf) in the afternoon and not really have any sort of schedule except for popsicles! Good Times for the entire family!

It's been a busy and fun July, now what will August bring???? Sorry for the lack of posts recently! It's been BUSY!!!! Love to ALL!

St Jude Donation

This is the letter we sent out to everyone asking for donations!

          Dear Family and Friends,

On Saturday, August 1, 2009 Aaron and I will be running in the second annual Washington to Peoria St. Jude Run. This is a 24.1 mile relay-style event, which is one of the nineteen relays from around Illinois, along with teams originating in Memphis, TN. These runs mark the start of the St. Jude Telethon on August 1st as well. We will be running to raise money to help children in their battle against cancer and writing in hopes that you will support this awesome cause.

Each runner on our team is encouraged to raise a minimum of $500 to participate in the run. All the administrative personnel and costs to organize the running event are covered by volunteers and donations from local businesses, and as a result, 100% of every dollar donated goes to the St. Jude Hospitals.

We appreciate your consideration to support St. Jude. If you choose to donate, you can click on this link: https://waystohelp.stjude.org/sjVPortal/public/displayUserPage.do?userId=310453&programId=301&eventId=22561

We apologize that you are receiving this so late, however, we recently learned of this opportunity and were compelled to be active participants.

Thanks again for your consideration and support of this amazing cause.

Brother and Sisterly Love....

I thought their looks were funny...pretty much the SAME;
Mouth open, of course!
Happy together....together Forever!

They are getting so cute together! Q is very protective of "his sister" and Sloan just tonight started pronouncing Brother. It's been a blast watching the relationship develop!

Q's sign he made...."Catch me if you Can" his competitive side coming out!
Little Miss Busy Body!

Q LOVED the fireworks!

Quinton making sure he doesn't miss the fireworks!

We had a great weekend! Never a dull moment, unfortunately the weather wasn't too great, but we had fun anyway. Q was disappointed the July 4th parade in our neighborhood was cancelled..... however, we still decorated his bike and had our OWN parade today! Looking forward to our CC coming to visit us this week! Hope everyone has a great start to your July!

Cheers!

Swimming with Aunt Jodi

See...there's the face!

Last weekend we were able to get out to the pool for the first time this summer and watch Sloan enjoy her first true experience in the water. Aunt Jodi was so sweet to get us into Weaver and join in some of the fun! At first, Sloan was not liking it so much, however with a little reassurance and Jodi's touch, she did great. As Jodi would put it, she knows what to say and do to work her Momma, (already...Oh no!) It's the FACE!!!!!

Q loved floating on his back, jumping in, and watching all of the older kids do their "thang". We'll be starting swimming lessons this week, so that should be great as well!

Thanks again Aunt Jodi for coming along we always love hanging out with you!
