Guitar Hero

Daddy is already trying to teach QMan how to play the guitar and surprisingly enough he's getting pretty good. It all started with the XBox game "Guitar Hero", then CC and DD game him a Big Bro guitar when baby sister was born and now he thinks he is in a band. His favorite song is "Hit me with your best shot" and if you ask him who signs it he'll tell ya- Pat Bend A Tar. His band names change everyday: The Leprechauns, the golf clubs and recently the hoops, just to name a few, however, the songs never do change: Twinkle, twinkle little star, ...it's pretty funny. His baby sister loves to just stare and laugh at him.

Check out the video of them in action...

QMan's Recent Try Out

He has been completely obsessed with the show American Gladiators on NBC this summer. In fact, Mommy has been a little against it since it is kind of rough, however daddy said it is ok for some Father/Son TV time as long as QMan promises that is only for viewing on a show and NOT performed on any friends or family.....Do you think this has happened? (For the most part he has been pretty good)

Check at this link below....enjoy!

Photo Op

Our wonderful friend Annie took some photos of our growing family while in town recently and we have been anxiously waiting to see them....below is her link with a sneak peak; scroll down to Tuesday August 26 date http://www.anniesweetpeaphotography.blogspot.com/

As I looked at these, I couldn't believe how QMan is growing up into a young mature boy and his baby sister Sloan's innocence in her face; what precious miracles! (I think I am a little bias) We are so lucky to have a healthy, happy family. I tell myself every morning when I wake up to enjoy every "little" moment, because life is just too short!!!!!! Thank you Lord.

Sloany B

Sloan will be 4 months old next week. She is belly laughing out loud and has been smiling w/her mouth open wide like crazy.... it just makes our heart melt. Also, she has rolled over a couple times and we think she is just about ready to perform more on a regular basis very soon!

Her big Bro is continuing to be very caring and loving with her; if she makes a peep, he wants to know "WHY?" if she is anywhere near him playing, he has to stop and give kisses, and if she's hungry at all, he'll lift up his shirt to feed her......Breastmilk! (that's what he said today) I can only hope this love between the two of them continues forever and ever!!!!!!!

The binky fairy

Qman knew he needed to give up his binkies during the night on or before his birthday next week so he could be a BIG Boy!!!!! Well, last night was the night! He told Daddy he was ready to give them up and he did..... after a few requests....Only once, did he get out of his bed and ask me for "just two of them" but then I reminded him that there were other babies that needed them and if he was successful, then the binky fairy would come and leave a little surprise on his chair for when he wakes up in the morning. That was all it took...he woke up in the morning to find a batman cool car at his bedside and guess what the first thing he says, "Mom, did the binky fairy get this at TJMAXX? Do you think he knows me well or what? Anyway, He did awesome, he is growing up too fast. We hope and pray this process continues to go smooth as it has...We love you Qman!

Brotherly Love.....

I was so proud of my Hubby this weekend. Last week he got a call from his bro to participate as a DUO TEAM in an ADVENTURE RACE... so of course, do you think he could say no? He didn't know what he was getting himself into when Andy said, "we need a canoe, a mountain bike and some fast running legs." Basically, they were up at 4:00 am to be on the road by 5 for the race to start at 7:30 (in Moline) and to discuss their strategy. It consisted of a 7 mile intense bike race through crazy terrain, a 2 mile canoe and a 2 mile VERY Hilly run.
Sounds like fun? especially, since his family were all at home sleeping soundly in our beds. Well, they did great... I think they ended up placing 4th overall, and for Aaron never doing something like this, that was pretty good... don't you think? Plus.... they had a blast together! I tell ya, Aaron you never seize to amaze me... your good at everything!!!! Thanks for having a balance of being a great daddy, working hard at your job and stay healthy for your family. We love you!

There's a first for everything...

Yeah!!!!!!!!! This is going to be so fun and I cannot believe how easy this is? Thanks so much Traci for your help on getting me set up(you always take care of me) !!!! I look forward to sharing with friends and family all the fun stuff the kiddos do on a daily basis; some things make us laugh, some make us cry and others test our patience; This is just the beginning..........check back soon!
