Go Cards....and

Cubs! I know my dad will not like this post, but we just had to get one hat, since we are here in "CUB country"!

Q's last week of school was a baseball theme and he needed a hat to compliment the outfit, right? Then, Sloan loves to steal it and get that curly hair out of her face!

We still love our Cardinals and will always stay true to our home base in St. Louis!

It's Rainin, It's Pouring

It has been raining cats and dogs around here, so we decided to make a slash! The kiddos had a ball! Q was just jumping too fast for me to get any good pics.

Friendship

Are they going to Prom?
Now that's love!
Sweet!
I am so happy to see Q and Sloan sharing, playing and smiling together. Tonight I was putting Q to bed and he was asking a lot of questions, hard questions, I might add. "Where will you be when I am married? Will your hair be gray? Did you meet Daddy when you were a little kid like me? Did you go to the same primary school as him?

So I start to question, where is this coming from? and so inquisitive at such a young age. The sweetest was when I talked about marriage and I asked him who he thought he would marry?

He said, "My sister, because I love her the most, mom! 100 million times over and over!"

Now, I am definitely not saying they are perfect all the time, nor even 1/2 the time, but it's great to see the coaching about loving family, friends, and neighbors that we sometimes feel goes out the window, pay off!!! Yeah....

Q I hope you continue to love your sis even more by the day!!

St Pat's Day!

First and foremost, we have to thank Aunt Trac for the awesome shirts and bows she made....they' re soooooo cute and all the cousins looked pretty darling yesterday!

The day started out really foggy and just as the parade was ready to start it lifted!!!! Q was thrilled because this year we were asked to be "in" the parade on a Brewers Budweiser old fashion fire engine...2 kids under the age of 5 on a beer float? I thought, how often do they get to be "in" a float as a kid? Plus, there was no beer in sight so we were good to go!

Q had a blast spraying silly string, throwing the candy and just watching the entire crowd ( and I mean there was an overwhelming crowd) and Sloan was practicing the wave on mommy's lap. We felt lucky to participate and will have this memory for a long time to come. In fact, we have to participate our last name is Sullivan, right! Hope you had a lucky day too!

Slumber Party

We were so excited to be able to have our 1st official sleep over at Papa's this weekend. The night started off with us all making our own personal pizzas, and let me tell ya they were "our own". We then played a competitive game of soccer (adults verses the kids), hide and seek in pairs and some star wars (of course) ...... finally we ended the night with the movie Ice Age. The kiddos had a blast, were so well behaved (of course M and M always are) and they slept fairly well. The morning wake up was the best; I could hear them talking and giggling in a "kids whisper" for me to come in and see them cuddled all together talking about school, friends and and the what the adventure was going to be for the day. Their conversation was so sweet and priceless.

Well the party had to end with a little more sugar..... some sprinkled Shamrock cinnamon rolls and a little milk to wash um down!!!

I know they all will sleep well for the next few nights to come, all because of the fun sleepover at Papa's house. We plan to have many more slumber parties up in Chicago over the next few months or I should I say years!!!!

Great Friends Forever...

Little Me's....Aaron, Brett and Chad
"Memories"

Over the holidays we were able to get together with all of Aaron's best friends growing up. We've stayed in close touch over the years thru all our phases....DINKs, babies, buying homes, selling homes and even some vacations.

Laughter and a few cries echoed from Q's room about every few minutes as they played star wars, hide and seek and every other game that was imaginable. Sloan on the other hand, was carrying her purse and taking it all in! Over some quiche and mimosas we shared "family" stories that all seemed so similar. Then the highlight of the conversation seemed too adult-like...new homes (because we are all in the search), interest rates, schooling systems, politics and mini van features. Oh how our tastes and conversations have changes. We want yards, attached garages, and the "best schools" for our kiddos..... just to name a few...simple right? It was a great day and wish we all lived in the same city.

I love it how all the kids names have the same ring...Quinton, Kiernan, Colin, Aiden, Grayson, and then there's Sloan....she loved being the only GIRL! I would have too with how good looking those boys are!

Memories that will last forever!

Papa...the farmer

On this chilly December day, we had to get out of the house for a showing and decided to go see what our Papa does as a "fun job" in the fall and winter. Wow! It was pretty cool. Aaron along with the kiddos and Maggie and Max got to ride in the tractor.

Sloan was having a great time as she watched the entire process of "Farming" Of course, she was in her pink faux fur....what more fitting! Everyone had a great time!

Halloween Treats

Our CC came into town last week and we had a ball making some fun halloween treats and hanging low! Q was a little under the weather with all the crazy flu symptoms. Halloween Rice Krispy Treats and Monster punch were on the menu. Q enjoys being a chef and Sloan enjoys eating the ingredients!

(thanks to Nicki for finding this one)
Lemonade
Green Food Coloring
Grapes for eye balls
Red liquid icing for blood
(Q loved using all the colors for blood)

Brother and Sisterly Love....

I thought their looks were funny...pretty much the SAME;
Mouth open, of course!
Happy together....together Forever!

They are getting so cute together! Q is very protective of "his sister" and Sloan just tonight started pronouncing Brother. It's been a blast watching the relationship develop!

Swimming with Aunt Jodi

See...there's the face!

Last weekend we were able to get out to the pool for the first time this summer and watch Sloan enjoy her first true experience in the water. Aunt Jodi was so sweet to get us into Weaver and join in some of the fun! At first, Sloan was not liking it so much, however with a little reassurance and Jodi's touch, she did great. As Jodi would put it, she knows what to say and do to work her Momma, (already...Oh no!) It's the FACE!!!!!

Q loved floating on his back, jumping in, and watching all of the older kids do their "thang". We'll be starting swimming lessons this week, so that should be great as well!

Thanks again Aunt Jodi for coming along we always love hanging out with you!
